The 2026 6th International Conference on Computer Science and Blockchain (CCSB 2026) was Successfully Held

From August 21 to 23, 2026, the event “CCF Technical Committee on Blockchain Visits Sun Yat-sen University” and the 6th International Conference on Computer Science and Blockchain (CCSB 2026) were held at the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University in Zhuhai, China. Hosted by the School of Software Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, the conference featured welcome remarks respectively byProf. Zibin Zheng, Sun Yat-sen University (Dean of the School of Software Engineering) andProf. Yi Sun, Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Executive Deputy Chair of the CCF Technical Committee on Blockchain and General Chair of the Conference). The conference was presided over byProf. Huawei Huang, Sun Yat-sen University.

Prof. Zheng noted that rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and oriented towards China’s major strategic needs, the School has long been committed to scientific research and talent cultivation in fields including trusted software, blockchain and intelligent software engineering. As the digital economy enters a new stage of trusted and intelligent development, technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are witnessing accelerated cross-integration. This conference combines the thematic event of the Technical Committee with an international academic conference, aiming to consolidate cutting-edge academic research and expand the space for industry-university-research integrated development.

Prof. Sun stated that this event is both part of the “CCF University Visit Series” public welfare initiative and the 6th consecutive edition of the CCSB international academic conference. Submissions to this conference cover more than 20 interdisciplinary fields, fully demonstrating the vibrant academic vitality of the field. As blockchain technology shifts from conceptual verification to large-scale implementation, all parties from industry, academia and research sectors need to work together to address the new topics and challenges brought by technological iteration.

In the keynote session,Prof. Song Guo, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Member of the European Academy of Sciences, IEEE Fellow) delivered a speech titledWorld Model-Driven Embodied Intelligence, introducing the technical framework of world model-driven embodied intelligence and providing new insights for adaptive embodied intelligence research.Prof. Bin Xiao, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (IEEE Fellow) presentedWeb 3.0 Security and Applications, interpreting the key technologies and application practices of Web 3.0 decentralized identity systems.Prof. Kun Xie, Hunan University (Recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars) sharedFrom "Observation Void" to Accurate Observability: Theory and Practice of Network Measurement, targeting the pain point of network “observation void” and elaborating on theories and technologies for high-precision network awareness.Prof. Zheng Yan, Xidian University (IEEE Fellow) delivered a speech titledDecentralized Trust Management with Privacy Preservation, exploring decentralized trust management technologies with privacy protection.

In parallel with the main conference, the thematic forum “CCF Technical Committee on Blockchain Visits Sun Yat-sen University” was held, consisting of invited talks and a roundtable discussion.Prof. Zhong Chen, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (CCF Fellow, Chair Professor) analyzed the opportunities and challenges faced by the deep integration of Agentic AI and blockchain technology.Prof. Jianming Zhu, Central University of Finance and Economics (Deputy Chair of the CCF Technical Committee on Blockchain) introduced a blockchain-based service model for large model markets.Prof. Yi Sun, Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Executive Deputy Chair of the CCF Technical Committee on Blockchain) elaborated on the value reconstruction of blockchain technology and pathways for industrial empowerment in the era of artificial intelligence.Prof. Butian Huang, Hangzhou Dianzi University (Member of the Enlarged Chair Meeting of the CCF Technical Committee on Blockchain) shared key technologies and applications of smart contracts for central bank digital currencies.

At the end of the forum, experts held an in-depth roundtable discussion on blockchain technology and applications, focusing on questions including “What is the ‘generational bottleneck’ for the large-scale application of the technology?”, “How can it be deeply coupled with artificial intelligence?” and “Which directions are worthy of key breakthroughs and which should be treated with caution?”. The roundtable was joined byProf. Bin Xiao, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University,Prof. Tian Wang, Beijing Normal University,Prof. Yuan Liu, Guangzhou University andProf. Ming Tao, Dongguan University of Technology, and moderated byDr. Qinnan Zhang, Beihang University.

The conference also hosted parallel offline and online oral presentations. Researchers from universities, research institutes and enterprises at home and abroad shared and exchanged their latest research outcomes in a wide range of directions, including smart contract security, large models and multi-agents, federated learning, blockchain gateways, network attack and defense, fault diagnosis, and cloud storage audit. Multiple awards were presented at the conference, including Best Paper Award, Best Oral Presentation Award and Best Poster Award. This conference has not only fully demonstrated the cutting-edge research progress in the field, but also provided a valuable opportunity for in-depth industry-university-research integration.
